Jesse Mitchell, III

Jesse earned his Bachelor of Accountancy in 2004 from the University of Mississippi, where he was decorated with numerous accolades and awards for his academic leadership and play on the Ole Miss Rebel football team. Jesse was also named to the SEC All-Academic team on multiple occasions. In 2003 and 2004, Jesse was named All-SEC by the Associated Press. That same year, he was awarded the John Howard Vaught Award of Excellence, which honors the senior athlete who most exemplifies the qualities of dedication, scholastic ability, morale and performance. After graduating from Ole Miss, Jesse played several games as a defensive end for the Baltimore Ravens before injuries sidelined his football career and sent him on his path to law school.

After playing for the Baltimore Ravens, Jesse returned to the University of Mississippi's Law School and was awarded the Lamar Order Scholarship. While attending law school, Jesse obtained his series 7 license and insurance license. Jesse graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2008, and spent the first two years of his legal career as an associate in the Jackson, Mississippi office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz.

Jesse has handled a variety of civil cases in a variety of practice areas including: intellectual property litigation, personal injury, securities and investments, toxic torts, pharmaceuticals, shareholder derivative suits, as well as other civil litigation. Jesse joined McCraney Montagnet & Quin in 2010.

Jesse is a member of various boards of directors associated with the University of Mississippi including: the board of directors for the University of Mississippi's Alumni Association, the University of Mississippi's Law School Board of Directors; and the M-Club Board of Directors. He is also the president-elect for the M-Club.

Jesse is admitted to practice in all Mississippi state and federal courts, as well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. He and his wife, Darrilyn, live in Brandon, Mississippi with their son. You can e-mail Jesse at jmitchell@mmqlaw.com.
